What is the Market Town Yarns Colour Club?
By joining the Market Town Yarns Colour Club, you'll receive an exclusive hand-dyed colourway in your chosen yarn base every month or every two months. Each Colour Club exclusive is created in our Suffolk dye studio and is a surprise until it arrives.
Will I know what the colourway is before it arrives?
No! That's all part of the fun. Every Colour Club exclusive is kept secret until subscribers receive their yarn. We love surprising our members with brand-new hand-dyed colourways inspired by the seasons, beautiful places and the little moments that spark our creativity.
Do you dye every skein by hand?
Every Colour Club subscription is hand dyed by us in our Suffolk dye studio. Because every skein is dyed by hand, slight variations are part of what makes hand-dyed yarn so special.
Will I be charged automatically?
Your first payment is taken when you place your order. Future payments are then taken automatically on the 15th of the month according to your chosen delivery frequency.
Is UK postage included?
Yes! UK postage is included in the price of your Colour Club subscription. You can read our Shipping Policy here.
What if I don't pay?
If for any reason your payment fails, we will contact you via email, telephone, SMS or a combination of these contact methods. If payment still hasn't been received after two weeks, your subscription may be cancelled.
Can I add other items to my subscription order?
If you opt for the 'Sent Flat' delivery method, we purposely use a 'large letter' box to keep shipping charges as low as possible. Adding any additional items to your order may incur extra delivery charges if we need to use a larger box than standard.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes. You can pause your subscription and restart it whenever you're ready from your Manage Subscription area.
How long am I tied in for and how do I cancel?
You can cancel your subscription from your Market Town Yarns account any time after your second delivery
Can I buy a Colour Club subscription as a gift?
Yes. We offer both 3-month and 6-month prepaid gift subscriptions, making the perfect present for knitters and crocheters who love hand-dyed yarn.
Can I change my yarn base?
Although we ask you to refrain from changing your yarn base too often, you may do this by clicking "Swap" inside the Manage Subscription area.
Can I change my delivery address?
You can change your delivery address inside the Manage Subscription area.
When do you ship the item?
We aim to dispatch Colour Club subscriptions within a few days of the 15th of each month, once payment has been received.
How 'exclusive' is the colourway?
The exclusive colourway that you are purchasing is previously unreleased and has never been seen before. The exclusive skein may later be put on general release or sold as part of a project kit. Any surplus skeins will only go on general release on our website once all Colour Club subscribers have received their yarn. Subscribers will always receive their Colour Club exclusive before it becomes available elsewhere.
Can I return the yarn if I don’t like the colour?
No, all sales of subscription colours are final and cannot be returned. All skeins are dyed to order and are therefore produced especially for you. The nature of the Colour Club is that you will be receive a surprise colourway and therefore can expect a wide variety of colours.
