Don't Feed the Trolls - Silky BFL Yarn

About the colourway: Sometimes, the internet isn't a very kind place. This colourway was inspired after our small business became the target of online abuse during one of the biggest moments in our journey. While a handful of people chose negativity, something far more powerful happened - our wonderful knitting and crochet community chose kindness, encouragement and support. Rather than dwell on the trolls, we decided to turn the experience into something beautiful and reach for the dye pots.

Don't Feed the Trolls combines black, silver grey and moss green together with bright green and flashes of vibrant pink - a reminder that creativity, kindness and hope can always shine through the darkness.

A minimum of £5 from every skein of Don't Feed the Trolls sold will be donated to Hadleigh Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, helping to turn online negativity into positive support for people who need it most. There is no place in our community for keyboard warriors, opinion overload or those who love to hide under digital bridges. This colourway is dedicated to everyone who chose kindness instead.

About the yarn base: Our Silky BFL 4 Ply yarn is a beautifully luxurious blend of Superwash Bluefaced Leicester wool and Grade A Mulberry Silk, combining strength, softness and elegant sheen in one stunning yarn base.

Bluefaced Leicester is prized for its long staple length, natural lustre and excellent durability, while the addition of mulberry silk brings a smooth texture and luminous shine. Together they create a yarn with beautiful drape, vibrant colour and crisp stitch definition.

Silky BFL absorbs dye exceptionally well, producing rich, bright colourways and striking speckles. The finished fabric has a gentle halo and elegant movement, making it perfect for shawls, garments and accessories where both drape and sheen really shine.
